Beinn na Caillich is a minor peak in the rugged landscape of Argyll and Bute, with an elevation of approximately 500 to 600 metres. Its name, meaning "Hill of the Old Woman" in Scottish Gaelic, reflects local folklore or historical associations with elderly figures or hag deities common in Celtic tradition. The area is part of the ancient Dalradian rock formations, typical of the Scottish Highlands.
