Big grey hill of Fannich
Beinn Liath Mhor Fannaich is a prominent hill in the Scottish Highlands, reaching approximately 820 metres in elevation. Its name, meaning "Big Grey Hill of Fannich," reflects its imposing, often mist-shrouded presence in the landscape. The hill is part of the ancient Caledonian mountain range and is composed largely of hard volcanic and metamorphic rocks from the Devonian period. It holds significance for local hikers and geologists, as well as for its role in the cultural and historical identity of the Fannich area.
