Why this matters
Beinn a' Bhoth rises to approximately 550 metres and is part of the rugged landscape of the Outer Hebrides. Its name, meaning "Hill of the Calf" in Scottish Gaelic, suggests possible agricultural or pastoral associations in local tradition. As a prominent feature in a relatively low-lying island group, it contributes to the regional topographic and cultural identity.
