The Battle of Tipton Green in 1644 was fought between Royalist forces under Viscount Wilmot and Parliamentarian troops led by the 2nd Earl of Denbigh during the First English Civil War. The inconclusive result prevented either side from gaining a strategic advantage in the West Midlands region.
