What is recorded here

The National Heritage List for England records Battle of Tewkesbury 1471 as a registered battlefield. The saved point comes from the centre supplied by the official record. Listing does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
The Battle of Tewkesbury in 1471 was fought between the forces of King Edward IV of England and the Lancastrians led by Edward, Prince of Wales. The Yorkist victory effectively ended the Lancastrian cause in the Wars of the Roses, leading to the deaths of the prince and many key Lancastrian supporters.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
