The Battle of Shrewsbury was fought in 1403 between the forces of King Henry IV of England and the rebels led by Henry "Hotspur" Percy. The battle resulted in a decisive royal victory and the death of Hotspur, which weakened the Percy family's challenge to the Lancastrian monarchy.
