The Battle of Mynydd Hyddgen was fought between Welsh forces under Llywelyn ap Gruffudd and English troops led by Roger Mortimer in 1283. The English emerged victorious, leading to the death of Llywelyn and the collapse of Welsh independence, marking a significant turning point in the conquest of Wales by Edward I.
