Battle of Mynydd Carn is a major battle site with a checked map point.
Fought in 1136 between Norman forces led by Robert of Rhuddlan and Welsh troops under Prince Rhys ap Gruffydd of Deheubarth, the Battle of Mynydd Carn resulted in a decisive Welsh victory. This battle was significant as it halted Norman advances in south-west Wales and marked a resurgence of Welsh resistance during the period of Anglo-Norman expansion.
