The Battle of Heavenfield was fought in 633 or 634 between a Northumbrian army under Oswald of Bernicia and a Welsh army under Cadwallon ap Cadfan of Gwynedd. The battle resulted in a decisive Northumbrian victory.
Oswald of Bernicia led the Northumbrians to a decisive victory over Cadwallon ap Cadfan of Gwynedd at the Battle of Heavenfield in 634. This battle secured Northumbrian dominance in the region and marked a turning point in the struggle between Anglo-Saxon and Welsh kingdoms in northern Britain.
