The Battle of Cadfan was fought between English and Welsh forces in 1257. The battle consisted of two military engagements; one at Coed Llathen and the other at Cymerau.
The Battle of Cadfan in 1257 was fought between English forces under the Marcher lord William de Valence and Welsh rebels led by Rhys Fychan of Deheubarth. The Welsh won a significant victory, halting English advances and asserting control over parts of south-west Wales, which marked a key moment in Welsh resistance during the mid-13th century.
