The Battle of Braddock Down took place in 1497 during the Cornish Rebellion against King Henry VII, when rebel forces led by Michael An Gof and Thomas Flamank clashed with royal troops. The rebellion was suppressed, the leaders executed, and the defeat marked the end of significant armed resistance in Cornwall to the Tudor monarchy.
