Why this matters

Bath Abbey was founded in the 7th century by the Anglo-Saxon monk Saint Birinus, with the current Norman and Gothic-style building largely constructed from the 12th to 16th centuries. It is dedicated to Saint Peter and Saint Paul and is a significant example of medieval ecclesiastical architecture in England.
