What is recorded here

Half a kilometre north of the children's graveyard, a bare limestone block waits beside the Newbridge road with a rectangular hole cut through its centre. The missing cross probably rose from that socket, marking a dangerous stretch or a quiet prayer for travellers. The child graveyard nearby suggests the area long belonged to loss rather than celebration.
In the S sector of a children's burial ground (KD003-015001-). An undressed, roughly rectangular, limestone block (dims. L 0.8m; Wth 0.68m; H 0.4m) has a neat, rectangular, mortice at its centre (dims. L 0.22m; Wth 0.30m; D 0.17m). A cross-base and shaft fragment (KD003-016----) stand c. 600m to the NE.
