On NW shoulder of a slight rise. A subcircular barrow (WNW-ESE 21.5m, N-S 20.5m) consisting of a roughly level area (D 9.3m) delimited by a fosse and earth and stone bank. The monument has been disturbed by quarrying from NE to E, and at NW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'.
