In reclaimed pasture 65m SW of the Morningstar River that marks the townland boundary with Gormanstown. One of a group of three possible barrows (LI040-071001/003-) with a fourth (LI040-071004-) located 170m to E. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified as a ring- barrow (site No. 040211) during examination of aerial photographs (BGE 1/5000 2558) taken 03/11/1984 on Bórd Gáis Éireann gas pipeline. Visible as a sunken C-shaped area defined by a bank with external fosse on aerial photograph (ASIAP (307) 17, 19) taken 13/09/2002. Faint outline of levelled monument visible on Google Earth orthoimages.
