Barrow

In level pasture. Circular area (diam. 7m) enclosed by fosse with external bank (ext. H 0.5m; int. H 1.1m). Entrance (Wth c. 3m) with causeway to E; two stones outside S side of entrance, one leaning heavily to SE (H 0.6m; 0.5m x 0.3m). Field fence to W removed; clearance material dumped in W half of site. Ring-barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Its construction with a fosse and external bank, along with possible standing stones, suggests a ceremonial or funerary function typical of burial monuments in this period.
