Geophysical survey (Licence no. 03R0074) undertaken identified two ring barrows external to the bank pf promontory fort (DU009-001013-) and circular structures within (Cooney 2009, 21). Further geophysical survey (Licence no. 12R078) of the promontory was carried out by The Discovery Programme for the LIARI Project which confirmed the presence of previously identified internal circular anomalies (Dowling 2014). Ring barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Its location on Lambay Island suggests a possible association with early island settlement and ritual practices in the Irish Sea region.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
