Hugh McPhelim O'Neill lost a servant in Beaghs and marked the grave with stones rather than forgetting the boy or man altogether. The barrow still stands in County Antrim, scheduled and uncertain in date but clear in its purpose: a life ended, a master moved, a pile of stones built to keep the loss visible.
