In reclaimed pasture, 55m E of townland boundary with Baggotstown East. A possible ditch-barrow (LI040-191----) lies 55m to the NW and an enclosure (LI040-240----) lies 90m to the SE. Identified as a circular cropmark of a possible barrow by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 57; AP 5/0272). Faint trace of cropmark (diam. c. 6m) visible on OSi orthophoto taken 2005-2012 and Digital Globe orthomage taken 2011-13. A possible ditch barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age, associated with burial and ritual practices of the period. Its location near other monuments suggests it may be part of a wider ceremonial landscape.
