In wet pasture 75m W of a watercourse. Possible barrows (LI040-065001/003-) lie 200m to SW. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified by Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 108; AP 5/2118) as an earthwork complex. No surface remains visible on OSi orthophoto taken between 2005-12 or on Google Earth orthoimage dated 14/09/2020. See attached Bruff aerial photograph (108) and Google Earth orthoimage. Ditch barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Its identification through aerial photography highlights the value of such methods in uncovering previously unrecorded prehistoric monuments.
