In pasture, 37m W of townland boundary with Bottomstown, a possible ditch-barrow (LI040-260----) lies 50m to the SW. Not marked on OSi historic maps. Identified as a circular cropmark by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 90; AP 5/2105). No surface remains visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 or on Google Earth orthoimages. Ditch barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Its identification as a circular cropmark suggests it is a low-lying or partially preserved burial monument, indicative of early funerary practices in the region.
