In pasture, immediately 70 E of townland boundary with Newtown. In NE quadrant of a field system (LI049-060001-). Not marked on OSi 6-inch maps. Barrow identified as a circular cropmark on Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline aerial photographs (BGE 1/5000 No.2582; Site No. 049220) taken 03/11/1984. Monument visible as a circular cropmark (diam. c. 4m) on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 20011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages. A ditch barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Its identification as a circular cropmark suggests it may be a previously unrecorded or hidden funerary monument.
