What is recorded here

In wet pasture 320m E of the townland boundary with Newtown. Possible barrow (LI049-222----) lies 110m to NE. Not depicted on historic OSi maps. Possible barrow listed as ‘Duntryleague 14’ by Grogan (1989, 227). Possible outline of ditch-barrow visible on Google Earth orthoimage taken 18/11/2018. See attached Google Earth orthoimages. Ditch barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Its presence suggests a tradition of burial and ceremonial activity in the landscape, though its wider significance remains poorly documented.
