In pasture 450m SW of Summer Ville House. Barrow (LI039-088----) lies 215m to S. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified as a possible barrow by aerial photograph (ASIAP (346) 6) taken 05/01/2003. Outline of monument is visible as a circular-shaped cropmark (diam. c. 9m), with farm track to S, on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13. Visible as a faint cropmark on Google Earth orthoimage taken 04/04/2013.

Ditch barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Its identification from aerial photography highlights the value of remote sensing in uncovering previously unrecorded prehistoric monuments.
