Freestanding single-bay three-stage water tower, extant 1905, on a square plan. Now disused. Roof not visible behind parapet with concealed rainwater goods retaining cast-iron octagonal or ogee hopper and downpipe. Part creeper- or ivy-covered cement rendered walls with battlemented parapet having "saddleback" coping. Round-headed openings (upper stages) with no sills, and concealed dressings framing wrought iron bars. Set in landscaped grounds shared with Ballynestragh.

A folly-like ""faux"" Irish tower house water tower contributing positively to the group and setting values of the Ballynestragh estate.
