Ballikinrain Castle stands in Stirling, Scotland, built in 1868 for Sir Archibald Orr-Ewing and redesigned by David Bryce in the Scottish Baronial style. The castle was burned out in June 1913, later restored, and went on to host poor children, a hotel, a wartime school, a camping site, and a residential school for young people. It closed as a school in 2021, and in 2024 planning permission was granted to return it to a private residence.
