Asliesk Castle stood extensive in Moray until 1799, when decay or deliberate ruin reduced a large tower house to fragments. Only the west gable remains, still carrying a coat-of-arms dated 1587, while foundations trace the vanished rooms across the ground. The castle may have been a proud local seat, its halls crowded and its walls thick against danger, but time took most of that life. What survives is a sharp stone edge and the shape of what was lost.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Asliesk Castle as Tower House (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
