Arnhall Castle is a ruined early 17th-century tower house trapped inside Keir House estate land, its two front walls gone and the rest reduced to a fragile wallhead behind safety fencing. The Stirlings of Keir owned the area, yet Arnhall never appears in their main history and still shows as separate on old maps, suggesting a boundary or identity they deliberately kept apart. John Dow may have tenanted it in 1649 while Archibald Stirling of Keir was valued for it, but that is all the evidence gives before the names blur into other halls and other families.

Arnhall Castle was a medieval tower house built by the Haliburton family in the 15th or 16th century. It is remembered as a historic stronghold associated with a prominent Scottish family and as an example of typical defensive architecture in the region during the late medieval period.
