Ardvreck Castle stands in Highland, Scotland, wearing its medieval bones like a shirt two sizes too large. The castle and possible walled garden have watched the same sea since before records kept their shape. People may have ground grain, hidden children or simply loved the roar of water striking stone. The castle still belongs to everybody and nobody, waiting for hands bold enough to remember it.
