The *Aramenta* was a 19th-century shipwreck located off Luce Sands in the Solway Firth, near the Balcarry estate. It was lost in 1844 after running aground on Luce Bay during a storm, resulting in the loss of all 11 crew members and a cargo of coal; the wreck is significant as a well-preserved example of 19th-century maritime trade in the region.
