St Maelrubha, also known as Maolrubha, was an Irish monk and missionary associated with the early Christian spread in Scotland, particularly in the Applecross area of the Scottish Highlands. Local tradition links the site to his monastic foundation, and holy wells or sites near it may be connected to healing rituals or pilgrimages in his honour.
