Anti Landing Trench, Castlemartin

Anti Landing Trench

What is recorded here

Anti Landing Trench, Castlemartin marks a Post Medieval defence line in Pembrokeshire, Wales. Earth and muscle built a barrier against invasion, forcing any attacker into open ground where arrows, muskets or hunger could finish what surprise denied. The trench no longer bites, but its shape still warns that the coast belongs to nobody who arrives without permission.
The National Monuments Record of Wales records Anti Landing Trench, Castlemartin as Anti Landing Trench from the Post Medieval period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
