What is recorded here

Annet is a medieval castle in Stirling, Scotland. The official record points to within ten metres, yet it offers no warning about danger, ownership or entry. A private castle can hide behind that small circle, waiting for someone to knock before revealing whether it still stands or has surrendered to grass.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Annet as Castle (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
