What is recorded here

Ancient field boundaries, a rath and two round cairns still mark Dunnyvadden, though no human hand has drawn those lines for centuries. The stones may have guided herds, marked ownership or watched over the dead, while the rath stood as a small fortress against hunger and invasion. Whatever they measured, they measured life itself: where food grew, where people gathered, where the living and dead shared one sky.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as ANCIENT FIELD SYSTEM; INCLUDING RATH; 2 ROUND CAIRNS (c.f. 038:008; 038:010; 038:011). Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. Recorded protection: Scheduled. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
