An Cliseam rises to approximately 650 meters and is part of the rugged landscape of the Outer Hebrides. It is composed primarily of Lewisian gneiss, some of the oldest rock formations in Europe. The mountain is significant as a geographical landmark within the Na h-Eileanan Siar archipelago.
