Allanbank

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Allanbank as Chapel (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 100m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Allanbank is associated with Saint Allan, a 6th-century Irish monk and missionary linked to several holy sites in Scotland. Traditionally, the site is connected with cures for skin ailments and was likely a place of pilgrimage and prayer in the medieval period.
