Alan Hardy bronze plaque

This bronze commemorative plaque records: This house was the last family home of Alan Hardy. He was a Second Lieutenant in the Royal Flying Corps, Montrose and previously served in the Royal East Kent Yeomanry. He died in a flying accident on Thursday, 14th October 1915 aged 25. He was buried on 18th October within the Hardy Family section of St. Mary's Churchyard, Chilham, Kent, situated on its Eastern boundary. We Do Remember Him.

Alan Hardy was a Second Lieutenant in the Royal Flying Corps who served during World War I; he is remembered for his service and died young in a flying accident in 1915.
