Admiral was a nineteenth-century schooner that sank off Fast Castle Head in the North Sea. The ship still lies beneath the water near the Scottish Borders, preserved in salt and darkness. Its hull may have carried grain, tar or soldiers, but no cargo manifest has survived to confirm the truth. The sea kept the vessel hidden until modern instruments found it again.
