Adams Well in County Mayo, Ireland, was a ritual holy well where people sought water, healing or blessing. The site has vanished from ordinary view, preserving the danger and temptation of forgotten places. Remembering it refuses the temptation to delete what is not currently visible.

Adams Well is traditionally associated with Saint Adamnan, an 8th-century Irish monk and scholar, and is believed to have been a site of pilgrimage and healing. Local folklore suggests the well was visited for cures related to skin ailments and general wellness, with rituals often involving the collection of water on specific holy days.
