Rolland's Lodging in Aberdeen was built in the early 16th century, likely between 1504 and 1511, by the merchant and statesman Andrew Barton for his wife Janet, following his diplomatic mission to France. It is important as a fine example of late medieval domestic architecture in Scotland and is associated with the historical figure George Bannatyne, a 16th-century writer and antiquary.
